Development

We are passionate about developing our people.

We are an IPA CPD accredited agency - recognised for our commitment and approach to training. This is not a surprise when you consider that last year we delivered an average of 21 hours training per person. We have an in-house trainer for training and mentoring and we regularly participate in external industry training courses. This year we have also introduced our 'Tailor Training' initiative, this gives our staff the opportunity to request a piece of training specificially to help them develop in their roles and has proven to be very successful.

We also offer more innovative development opportunities such as The International Exchange (TIE): Each year we send someone to a developing market for a month to work with a small NGO and local agency to develop a campaign for a charitable cause. The Foundry

We invest in our future talent, who in turn can make a difference.

The Foundry is one of London’s most exciting training programmes. We recruit entrepreneurial Account People and Account Planners; offering them the chance to take ownership of their own micro-agency, which works with ambitious businesses to enable them to grow and thrive. From strategic insight to creative development and production, our service combines the fresh perspectives of new talent with Leo Burnett’s expertise and resource. So, whilst working with the best in the business on big and populist brands such as McDonald’s and Kellogg’s, this year’s recruits will also be given the opportunity to go out there, find their own client and create a campaign from scratch. The Foundry believes that the key to advertising success is not to be better, but to be different. Different gets noticed. Different gets remembered. Different works. Leo Love

We believe that you don’t always need to make big gestures to make meaningful changes.

Leo Love is our volunteering programme and it′s all about giving a little bit of help to people who would really benefit from it. Over 50 of our people helped in local projects last year, ranging from helping to make costumes for the Notting Hill Carnival to Business Enterprise Days in schools.

All our hard work earned us the award for 'Best Contribution for Employee Volunteering' in Hammersmith & Fulham.

We’re green

We believe in doing our bit.

Whilst we're not a big carbon producer, we believe in doing our bit to keep track of, and reduce, our carbon footprint. Our mantra: 'consume less' led us to put in place a set of core actions to get measures in place to track our carbon footprint and our improvement in reducing it.

Last year our efforts in environmental management gained us the internationally recognised carbon measurement accreditation ISO 14001.

Lots of Burnetters want to make a difference – our Green Team is dedicated to maintaining our stance on this.
