Our Share Aware campaign has given parents a way to start difficult conversations, to help a generation of children stay safe online
Our Share Aware campaign protected children from abuse, by sparking conversations between parents and children about how to use the internet safely. It has had a huge impact. Even 2 months after launch, the films were being watched every second in 62 countries. Here in the UK, the campaign got parents talking to their children about online safety, at a younger age and more often.
The campaign led to the first online safety helpline, parenting workshops all over the country and the teaching toolkit is now used in thousands of schools. Share Aware has been described as the ‘Green Cross Code for the internet generation’, making a huge impact to protect the nation’s children online.
